Human Rights Campaign (HRC)

The Human Rights Campaign is one of the most prominent LGBT organizations in the country. Learn all about the Human Rights Campaign’s mission to lobby for causes like marriage equality, adoption by same-sex couples, and their role in the repeal of ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.’ Also known as HRC, the organization was a key player in the passage of Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, which provides legal protection for members of the LGBT community against violence.
