A tiny LGBT Pride gathering in Thessaloniki, Greece of 400 people was attacked by protesters yesterday, according to the Associated Press. Police reported that about 50 people hurled plastic water bottles and raw eggs at LGBT participants in a city that was already riled over plans for Pride. AP reported that Anthimos, the senior Greek Orthodox cleric in Thessaloniki who only goes by one name, had been outspoken in publicly condeming that city's first Pride rally.
