PrideFest Milwaukee, which lasts three days, is one of the largest, best-attended LGBT celebrations of love, pride and music in the U.S. An all-volunteer staff turns out a huge event every year that serves as a showcase for both emerging talent and top headliners. The shock and dismay of hearing the news about Orlando on the third day of the celebration resulted in a major spike in attendance and a new focus for the gathering. We thought it important to show both these photos of "the good old days" before the tragedy and also Milwaukee’s heartfelt response of love and support for Orlando. Thanks to Michail Takach and all the great volunteer photographers who contributed to this gallery.
