Gabriel Garbow paints captivating images of men. He is known for favoring scenes in or around water, and his work vibrates with a strong sense of light no matter what the setting. A realistic but unfussy style gives each watercolor or acrylic painting the feeling of a cherished memory. Asked about this, the artist explains, "I love to lavish attention on a beautiful body ... but conveying an intimate moment, some inner life, is what makes a painting truly beautiful." Garbow splits his time between San Francisco and Sacramento, where he does work on commissions alongside original creations. His art has been shown in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and San Francisco and has been collected in Europe, Africa, and Australia.
