Artist Spotlight: Ron Amato

Inspired by a 2009 visit to Florence, Italy, "Armor" is Ron Amato’s response to his observation of how gay men represent themselves on social media. But we, the observers, are allowed to have our own projections about exposure, bondage, and perhaps even torture. Amato's technique is quiet, and the attention to the draping of the fabric feels classical. An exhibit of these works continues through September 14 at the DeLuca Gallery, 432 Commercial St., Provincetown, MA 02657.
