Variety reports that Everwood, the new drama series from out producer Greg Berlanti (The Broken Hearts Club), has received a full-season pickup of 22 episodes from the WB network. The show is the first drama among the new fall series to get a "back nine" episode order (most new shows get an original order of 12 episodes plus a pilot, with nine additional episodes ordered if ratings are promising). The only other new shows to get a full-season pickup so far are the ABC comedies Life With Bonnie and 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter. "It's phenomenal," said Berlanti. "We've had the time of our lives. Everyone's going to be thrilled to keep working. Now we can continue to breathe life into these characters for the rest of the year."
