DVD distributor Wolfe Video has acquired two acclaimed films for distribution and theatrical release. Were the World Mine, directed by Tom Gustafson, is an original musical about a gay high school student who is cast in his school's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. The film has won 13 awards in film festivals this year, according to a Wolfe press release. The New Twenty follows a group of five New Yorkers in their 20s as their tight-knit friendship falls apart. Lead actress Nicole Bilderback won the Best Actress award at Outfest, Los Angeles's gay film festival, in July.

Worldwide television premieres for both films will be on Logo. (The Advocate)
