Three men
gay-bashed at San Diego pride

Three gay San Diego men were attacked with a baseball bat--and possibly a knife--by three assailants during the San Diego pride celebration this weekend.

After leaving festivities at Balboa Park on Sunday, three gay men found themselves subjected to homophobic taunts before being attacked with a baseball bat; one of the victims was struck on the head while another described also feeling a sharp stabbing sensation in the back. All three victims are recovering in a hospital with serious injuries. The men have already given police descriptions of their attackers.

Police said that if caught, the assailants would be charged with a hate crime along with attempted murder. (The Advocate)
