Outgames in Australia, January 30–February 3

The first annual Asia Pacific Outgames will be held in Melbourne, Australia, January 30-February 3, 2008. The Outgames are an international sporting event, human rights conference, and cultural event.

With events such as water polo, tennis, and the ever popular dancesport in which same-sex couple show off their moves, the Outgames has attracted more than 1,500 participants.

The Outgames will coincide with the 20th Annual Midsumma Festival, which is Melbourne's own LGBT festival of events. (The Advocate)
