Galveston's Robert's Lafitte -- the same gay bar Advocate.com reported was providing shelter from the nasty hurricanes that ravaged the Gulf Coast last September -- is now the site of a nasty gay bashing .

According to reports, three men were arrested -- one held the front door of the bar open while another two hurled rocks at customers.

One man -- 57-year-old Marc Bosaw -- needed twelve staples to close a laceration to the back of his head. Troy Nickelson, 39, was struck in the jaw by a rock.

One of the three suspects later told police it was their intent to target homosexuals. As a result, brothers Lawrence Henry Lewis III, 20, and Lawrneil Henry Lewis, 18, and their cousin, Alejandro Sam Gray, 17, could face anywhere from five to 99 years in prison is a jury concludes this was indeed a hate crime.
