New Maine Ad Tackles School Lies

A new advertisement against Question 1, the initiative to repeal the
Maine marriage equality law, confronts the "false statements" that
public school curriculum would be altered to include lessons about same-sex marriage.
The ad starts with the recent opinion from state attorney general Janet Mills. She said that the marriage equality law would have "no impact on education curriculum in Maine public schools," but gay marriage opponents insist on arguing otherwise.
"It's common sense," says the 30-second spot paid for by Protect Maine Equality. "Maine's school wouldn't allow something inappropriate to be taught."
