Fran Drescher, star of The Nanny, puts her distinctive voice to work for marriage equality in New York in a Human Rights Campaign project.
In a new video for the HRC's Campaign for New York Marriage, Drescher asks New Yorkers and Americans to join her in helping to win "justice, and equality and liberty for everyone."
The video is the latest in a celebrity-studded series from HRC starring other notable New Yorkers including Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Kenneth Cole, and Julianne Moore.
HRC will be holding an event to benefit its marriage equality work in New York next Wednesday, to be hosted by Cornelia Guest and Andre Balazs.
The New York state senate could vote on the marriage equality bill again as soon as 2011, but votes are still needed to pass the measure.
