Soldiers stationed in Iraq are blocked from accessing the website for grassroots political organization Courage Campaign, while being allowed to visit right-wing sites.

According to The Hill, sites affiliated with the Traditional Values Coalition, California Election Forum, and Christian Voter Guide are accessible through Defense Department computers in Iraq. Meanwhile, Courage Campaign has sent Defense secretary Robert Gates a letter demanding that its site be available to all prospective voters stationed overseas.

Courage Campaign's site includes a voters' guide on the various ballot measures going before Californians in Tuesday's election, and the 700,000-member organization attempted to disseminate this information. A California voter stationed in Iraq let Courage Campaign know the site was blocked.

The Courage Campaign has been deeply involved in efforts to expand gay rights, specifically marriage equality, in California.
