The Advocate and Out magazines won Outstanding Magazine Overall Coverage at the 22nd annual GLAAD Media Awards.

The two venerable LGBT publications (owned by the same parent company) beat out four other magazines, including The Chronicle of Higher Education, Entertainment Weekly, People, and Us Weekly for the honor.

Also winning a top honor at the awards was the Advocate.com column View From Washington by Kerry Eleveld, which was named Outstanding Digital Journalism Article.
