Inspired by mid-century beefcake zines, Jeremy created and self-published Starrfucker Magazine. The black-and-white printed zine features his provocative photography and art from contributing artists. It’s a way for him to bring the two parts of his life together as one: art and sex. Unlike the beefcake photography of yesterday, which relied heavily on inuendo, he is free to express his raw, intimate, and honest enjoyment of the homoerotic image.
“Modern Beefcake: The Artwork of Jeremy Lucido” is on exhibit through October 15 at Lüstern Gallery, 359 S. Broadway, Los Angeles, Calif. But after the exhibit you can still purchase great images and merch.
Jeremy Lucido is an American artist, photographer, publisher, adult film director, and creator of Starrfucker Magazine based in Los Angeles, California.
