79 Photos Show Richmond, Va., Beaming With Pride
Virginia Pride held Richmond's 2018 Pridefest, its largest annual celebration of the LGBTQ community, on September 22 on Brown's Island. Scissor Sisters' front-man Jake Shears headlined an amazing line-up of performers and a super-fun afternoon.
In addition, sponsors including The Hardywood Park Craft Brewery debuted their "Tropic Like It's Hot" specialty drink, the Richmond Diversity Center and Thrift Shop supported the gathering, and The Richmond Triangle Players celebrated the occasion with a run of The Laramie Project. Chef David Shannon hosted a pre-Pride dinner at his queer Disney-esque restaurant L'Opossum.
