LA Pride weekend kicked off in West Hollywood with a free concert and opening ceremony including special performances from Todrick Hall and Paula Abdul. The evening featured an official welcome by leaders and advocates for the LGBTQ community, a vogue ball, and the premiere of Verizon Media's moving documentary on the San Francisco nurses who cared for the victims of the AIDS crisis, 5B.
