Netflix's Halston is taking viewers back to Studio 54.
The legendary New York City club was the stomping ground for many luminaries, including the acclaimed fashion designer Roy Halston Frowick (known professionally as Halston) and his entourage of Liza Minnelli, Andy Warhol, Bianca Jagger, and more.
The new Ryan Murphy-produced series, out May 14 and created by Sharr White, follows the rise of the global fashion brand of Halston (Ewan McGregor) — known for designing Jacqueline Kennedy's pillbox hat — who died of an AIDS-related illness in 1990. Today would have been his 89th birthday.
