Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak are not married. Jim proposed after the Emmys; they are engaged.

    Comment:

No audience member would know that Jim Parsons' spouse is Todd Spiewak, who Jim thanked in a long line of names without reference when he won Best Actor in a Comedy Series. His acceptance speech was a wasted opportunity to educate straight America about gay couples and gay families as they vote away our constitutional civil right to civil marriage in unconstitutional ballot initiatives. Jane Lynch did it right: "I want to thank my wife and daughter." Perfect!

    Comment:

Bravo to Jane Lynch for thanking her "wife and daughter". If we want full civil marriage equality and adoption rights, we must let straight America know we exist and love our families. Sadly the "Glee" creator thanked his "partner," which sounded like his business partner. I was also disappointed that the Best Supporting Actor for a Comedy Series for "Modern Family" (who plays one of a gay couple) didn't mention one word about gay couples in his acceptance speech.

OK- Like Stonestreet, but how many people agree....he won because he's a str8 guy playing gay....they never think a gay guy playing gay is a stretch/not worthy of an award....yet....how many str8 guys have won for playing str8 roles- 99% (not including Tonys)

I guess the advocate isn't aware that the man who won the Emmy for outstanding leading actor in a comedy series, Jim Parsons, is a gay man. He thanked his boyfriend Todd Spiewak in his acceptance speech and sat next to him at the ceremony. The Emmys were extra gay this year!!

Jimmy Fallon is horribly unfunny and annoying. Hire someone else to host next year.
