Picture This! Entertainment has acquired the French film Confusion of Genders (La Confusion des genres), a gay-themed comedy that recently had its North American premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Entertainment Web site indieWIRE.com reports that Picture This! president Doug Witkins remarked, We are particularly excited about releasing Confusion of Genders in the U.S. because its comic appeal has great crossover potential while its gay themes will guarantee a core opening audience. It really represents the best of mainstream French cinema, including a great discovery in the new young star Cyrille Thouvenin. Following their recent releases of Lola and Billy the Kid and From the Edge of the City, Picture This!s next film in theaters will be the French film Come Undone (Presque Rien), a gay coming-of-age romance, in June.
