Variety reports that writer Don Scott has closed a deal with Tapestry Films to pen the screenplay for Team Fabulous. The premise centers on a baseball player who makes remarks that seem homophobic, a situation that is only made worse when they are broadcast out of context by a sports journalist. Fisticuffs ensue between the player and the reporter, and the jock is sentenced to do community service by playing in a philanthropic gay softball league. Tapestry partners Peter Abrams and Robert Levy will produce.
