Zadan and Meron sign a big deal at Disney

Variety reports that openly gay producer team Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (Life With Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows) have signed a two-year deal with Disney that will cover TV films, series, feature films, and stage productions. Components of the pact include an exclusive arrangement to create, develop, and produce series for Touchstone Television; a renewal of Zadan and Meron's Storyline Entertainment's existing deal to make TV movies for The Wonderful World of Disney; and a first-look deal for any future feature or stage productions from Storyline. "[Disney boasts] a wonderful family of creative people that has been a joy and will be joy to collaborate with," said Meron. "They're inventive, smart, creative, and they know a good idea when they hear one."
