"I've been waiting to do this for a long time," Queen Latifah revealed to a welcoming crowd during a performance at Long Beach Pride over the weekend.

The May 19 concert marked Latifah's first performance at an LGBT festival. According to the website Eurweb, the entertainer referred to the crowd as "her people." During her short set, Latifah asked the audience, "Are you feeling all the unity?"

Rock stalwart Slash has filmed a video where he stands up for bullied youth and the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles.

In the video, Slash says he often felt different and alienated as a child; something he says gay youth too often feel. The former Guns n' Roses guitarist announces that he supports the Gay Men's Chorus of L.A., especially the group's Alive Music Project.

The new episode was a hit with TV viewers, as it rose 11% in the ratings from the repeat that preceded it.
