These right-wing extremists have targeted Pride events, DEI programs, and drag queens.
Narissa Rahaman, executive director of Equality Virginia, was named as a counselor to Ghazala Hashmi.
“I hope the Supreme Court halts further attempts by public officials to use their personal faith to deny others their civil and human rights,” the civil rights icon told The Advocate.
The announcement came Monday morning.
The case now returns to the judge who initially blocked the law from taking effect.
“I want you, my fellow San Franciscans, to be the first to know I will not be seeking reelection to Congress with a grateful heart,” the former House speaker said.
The justices will meet privately this week to decide whether they will hear the former Kentucky clerk's latest appeal.
