Adam Morello Reyes and Luna; Reyes and John Waters. Read about these Queer Biennial Polaroids below.
These Polaroids were taken by Ruben Esparza in and around the Queer Biennial this year. They serve as a Warholian take on capturing artists, curators, queerdos, beauties, and the LGBTQ tribes.
Exhibitions, performances, and films were all a part of this year's Queer Biennial 2108 -- "What if Utopia" -- for the entire month of June. Venues included: Navel LA, Last Projects, Tom of Finland Foundation, Please Do Not Enter, and Precinct DTLA. Curators include Ruben Esparza, founder and director; Milos Mestas, chief curator; with Stuart Sandord; Ilona Berger; Michael Holt; Yelena Moskovich; Mark Tennyson; Steven Reigns; and Carlos Morales Rabago.
Ruben Esparza will be a part of a group show in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he'll be showing recent Polaroids and other artworks that were deleted from social media for "violating community guidelines." "The Violators" will be at Studio UZI. Reception July 27, 7 p.m. Curated by Gio Black Peter.
