"A few models started messaging me, wanting to be drawn....It snowballed." Read more below.

We were dazzled by Mike Ocasio's skills and gorgeous saturated color. So we were delighted he allowed us to share some of his work.

Michael Ocasio was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is a New-York based creative director, illustrator, and designer. Mike is an avid figure artist, with a focus on pastel, acrylic, and digital works. Below, Mike in his own words:

"I started figure drawing in Old San Juan when I was 16. After completing my BFA in 2011, I moved to New York and soon found queer figure groups around the city. I didn't set out to make an Instagram account for my figure drawing, but since I'm pretty private online, it became the only thing I posted. Then a few models started messaging me, wanting to be drawn. And with every new post, someone else offered to pose. It snowballed. Now I work up the courage to reach out to models. Figure drawing has allowed me to meet so many great people outside my usual circle. Color drawings take a while so you get to know models fairly well in a single session; I think there's an inherent openness in someone who models nude."

Mike says to DM him if you want to be drawn. Check out his Instagram to see the variety of men who pose naked for him.
