Baz Luhrmann joins the Alexander the Great brigade

Several filmmakers are currently working on bringing the life of gay conqueror Alexander the Great to the screen, and one more director has entered the fray, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann is in negotiations with producer Dino De Laurentiis to make an Alexander project for Universal Pictures, based on Ted Tally's adaptation of three novels by Valerio Manfredi.
