Cast album coming for revival of Stephen Sondheim's The Frogs

       Playbill On-Line reports that a new cast album will be recorded for Stephen Sondheim's The Frogs, which plays New York's Vivian Beaumont Theatre through October 9. Director-choreographer Susan Stroman (Contact) tells the Web site that the show's cast will most likely record the album toward the end of the show's run. Out performer Nathan Lane, who stars as Dionysos, performed a major rewrite on Sondheim and Burt Shevelove's original Aristophanes-inspired libretto.
