Tartan Films and TLA to release Gregg Araki's Mysterious Skin

       Tartan Films USA and TLA Releasing have partnered to jointly acquire North American rights to Gregg Araki's Mysterious Skin, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Brady Corbet, Elisabeth Shue, and Michelle Trachtenberg. The film had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival and its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Tartan and TLA will release the film theatrically in May and on DVD in fall 2005. The companies have an exclusive agreement in which TLA distributes all DVD and video product from Tartan Video. MJ Peckos and John Sloss of Cinetic Media negotiated the deal.

        Global pop star Demi Lovato will perform at the 37th annual GLAAD Media Awards on March 5 in Los Angeles, with actor and producer Jonathan Bennett returning to host a ceremony that will stream exclusively on Hulu later this month, GLAAD announced Monday.
