Melissa Etheridge
announces summer tour dates

RollingStone.com reports that Melissa Etheridge has announced six concert dates for this summer. The singer's first tour since she declared herself cancer-free in October will take her to Long Beach, Calif. (June 30), Los Angeles (July 1), Chicago (July 21 and 22), New York (July 25), and Lowell, Mass. (July 28). Etheridge has previously announced her intention to release an album of new material this year, and she continues to develop a sitcom about a lesbian teacher in Kansas for ABC. (The Advocate)
