Singer Boy George had his choice of where to serve his five-day community service sentence, so he decided to help out at a New York AIDS hospice. The sentence was handed down after an incident last year that led to him being charged with filing a false burglary report. Police who responded to the call found cocaine at George's apartment, drugs he claimed had been left there by someone else after a party. The narcotics charges were dropped, but the judge required George to perform community service for wasting police time with the false report. (The Advocate)
