Greg Berlanti, out creator of the hit series Dawson's Creek and Everwood, announced Friday in The Hollywood Reporter that he has parted ways with longtime creative and business partner Mickey Liddell.
Berlanti and Liddell first worked together on the film The Broken Hearts Club, a popular gay comedy written and directed by Berlanti. Liddell served as producer and, following the dissolution of the pair's TV banner, will return to the film world full-time.
Berlanti has renamed his television shingle Berlanti Television and hired Melissa Berman to head up production. The company has already set up two TV projects for ABC, one of which is the upcoming legal drama Eli Stone, which has been ordered as a pilot by the network. (The Advocate)
