Alan Cumming's new film Suffering Man's Charity--which he adapted, produced, and directed--drew visceral reactions from viewers at its Core Club premiere in New York City. During a whipping torture scene between Cumming's character and David Boreanaz, many audience members left the theater and one female attendee fainted, according to the New York Post's Page Six.

Cumming's film concerns a poor music teacher "with a weakness for impoverished young men," according to the article. (The Advocate)
