Chad Allen Going
to Hospital

Actor Chad Allen has nabbed a three-episode arc on SOAPnet's General Hospital: NightShift, reports the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

The gay actor will play Eric Whitlow, the love interest to a male doctor who initiates Whitlow's liver transplant. Allen's first appearance will air September 23. General Hospital: Night Shift -- the highest-rated show on cable network SOAPnet -- is a spin-off of ABC's long-running General Hospital.

Allen is best known for his roles on Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, Charmed, Our House, and here! network's Donald Strachey mysteries. (The Advocate)
