First Look Media has confirmed its acquisition of the feature film Lisa Picard Is Famous, reports indieWIRE. The movie, which is described by its producer as a comic examination of the heady experience of pending fame seen through the eyes of a real-life up-and-coming New York actress on the brink of stardom, also features a prominent gay character as Lisas best friend. First Looks M.J. Peckos says, [It] is a wonderful window into the world of celebrity and will resonate with anybody whos ever thought about being a star. The film screened at the Cannes Film Festival last year under the shorter title Famous.
