Wandas Show Kicks off with Decent Ratings

Wanda Sykes's talk show on Fox debuted on Saturday up against Saturday Night Live's season-high episode featuring musical guest and host Taylor Swift.

The Wanda Sykes Show is Fox's replacement for the sketch comedy show MadTV, which in May ended its 14-season run as the alternative to NBC's late-night mainstay. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sykes's show's ratings were 16% higher than MadTV's winter average, and 100% higher than the six-week-trial average of Spike Feresten's talk show.
