"You can't resist" the new teaser of Wicked: For Good.
The clip, released Wednesday on social media, brings Wicked fans back to Oz and gives a peek of the much-anticipated sequel of 2024's hit musical Wicked.
In addition to teasing the beloved song "For Good," the teaser shows how the characters — among them Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), Glinda (Ariana Grande), Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey), and Pfannee (Bowen Yang) — have transformed since the dramatic conclusion of the first film.
An adaptation of the hit Broadway musical, which was in turn inspired by Gregory Maguire's novel, Wicked shows the back story of the Wicked Witch of the West. The first chapter shows how Elphaba and Glinda became friends in school and then split as fascist powers overtook Oz — and the latter witch sided with the establishment.
"You can't resist this," the teaser is captioned — which echoes a line Fiyero says to Glinda in the teaser.
The LGBTQ+ cast was featured in the 2024 Out100 — Out's list of the year's most notable LGBTQ+ changemakers — and the first film went on to win two Oscars as well as nominations for Erivo and Grande.
The sequel flies into theaters November 21. Watch the teaser below.
