NYPD Searches for Two Suspects in Antigay Bronx Attack

Police are searching for two suspects in an antigay attack in New York.

At 2:30 a.m. July 23, the New York Police Department reports, two men followed a woman into Optical City Express, an eyeglasses store located at 395 E. 149th St. in the Bronx.

Inside the store, the men used antigay slurs toward the woman and then proceeded to punch her, causing lacerations to her face and body. Images of the assailants were captured by a security camera, but they have yet to be identified.
