Adam Lambert Confirms Bohemian Rhapsody Trucker Cameo

Adam Lambert

If you blinked, you missed it, but Lambert's cameo came at a pivotal moment in the movie.

Pop star Adam Lambert is currently on tour with Queen, interpreting the songs made famous under front man Freddie Mercury. Now Lambert has confirmed rumors of the cameo he played in the Golden Globe winner Bohemian Rhapsody, according toDeadline.

While Lambert earlier teased that he had a cameo in the film, he didn't say what it was. And for viewers who weren't paying close attention, he was the trucker who cruises Rami Malek's Mercury at a gas station. The pivotal scene is the first time the viewer is privy to Mercury acting on same-sex attraction.

To promote the biopic becoming available for digital download, Lambert tweeted a picture of the bearded, scruffy character he played.

Despite controversy over the film for accused predator Bryan Singer's attachment to it (he was the director but left mid-production) and for what many in the LGBTQ community have deemed the "demonization" of Mercury's sexuality, it picked up a Golden Globe for Malek and also landed the award for best drama on Sunday.

Lambert, who delivered a stunning tribute to Cher, singing "Believe" at the Kennedy Center Honors late last year, began touring with Queen in the summer of 2017 through 2018. Queen + Adam Lambert are slated for 23 dates this summer.
