PBS stations nationwide on Tuesday began airing a documentary film on United Nations secretary-general Kofi Annan, much of which will focus on Annan's efforts to combat HIV/AIDS in poor nations. The 90-minute film, titled Kofi Annan: Center of the Storm, includes coverage of Annan receiving the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize, awarded to him partly due to his efforts to encourage Western nations to better fund anti-HIV treatment and prevention programs in developing countries. Check local PBS listings for show times.
