Mike White to produce Yes Man with Jack Black
Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired an unpublished British book by Danny Wallace, the author of Random Acts of Kindness: 365 Ways to Make the World a Nicer Place and Join Me: The True Story of a Man who Started a Cult by Accident. The new book, Yes Man, is a memoir about Wallace's encounter with a mystery character on a late-night bus, after which he started saying yes to everything. As a result, he found romance and happiness. Jack Black and Mike White, the star and writer, respectively, of School of Rock, will produce the project with David Heyman. David Iserson, whose credits include Saturday Night Live, has been hired to adapt the book, which is due to be published in the United States by Simon Spotlight Entertainment in the summer. Out writer-actor White has also written and appeared in Chuck & Buck, The Good Girl, and Orange County. (Liza Foreman, via Reuters, with additional reporting by Advocate.com)
