Funeral services were scheduled for Friday for Gassville, Ark., police officer James Sell, who was killed after he pulled over a teenager wanted for an attack at a gay bar in Massachusetts. Sell, 63, died early Sunday after a Saturday gunfight with Jacob Robida, 18, who was wanted for the attack at the bar in New Bedford, Mass., where police say Robida used a hatchet and a gun to assault patrons. Police say Robida killed Sell and a woman who was with Robida, Jennifer Rena Bailey, 33, of Charleston, W.Va. A 20-mile chase followed Sell's shooting, and authorities say Robida shot Bailey dead before officers shot Robida. Robida died of his wounds Sunday. Sell worked in the Blytheville Police Department for 30 years, retiring as a captain. He joined the Gassville department on October 13, 2003. Law officers from around the country are expected to take part in the Friday service, officials in Baxter County said. (AP)
