North side library sees 100 of its books burn

Vandals set fire to a collection of gay and lesbian literature at a north side branch library in Chicago on Tuesday, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Police are still looking for those responsible for the fire. Library officials, who spotted the fire and were able to put it out, have not calculated a dollar value for the more than 100 books that were destroyed, but they said they will replace all the materials. (The Advocate)
