Former porn actor Marcus Allen, whose real name is Timothy Boham, appeared in a Denver County court Wednesday on first-degree murder charges, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

Boham, 25, was arrested November 16 near the Mexican border in Arizona for the murder of Michael Kelso, a gay Denver businessman. Police said the murder took place between November 11 and November 13. Kelso's gun-shot body was found in his bathtub by a housekeeper, the article said.

The News reported that the suspect waived his right to formal advisement on the charges and that he will return to court for a preliminary hearing January 17.

Boham was hired by Kelso, 43, after Boham left the porn industry. While the films he appeared in were gay-oriented, Boham outwardly denounced gays and was noticeably hostile to those around him, according to news reports. (The Advocate)
