Tickets are now on sale for Queer Fest Midwest, Chicago's first ever GLBT music and arts festival, with performances by Katastrophe, the Ex-Members, Johnny Dangerous, Chris Garneau, Katz, Gina Young, and Team Gina. Regional acts at the Wicker Park event include Office, Hey There Cowboy, 8 Inch Betsy, and Actor Slash Model. From hip-hop to trans-hillbilly, the musical acts will span the queerest of spectrums. Part of the proceeds from the all-day, all-ages festival will go to the About Face Theater.

The event takes place August 25 from noon to 8 p.m. Visit Etix to purchase tickets ($16 in advance, $20 day of festival). For up-to-the-minute information, visit MySpace.com/QueerFestMidwest.
