The fate of Harlow
Cuadra, the former escort and porn producer accused of killing
Cobra Video founder Brian Kocis, looks grim after jurors in
Wilkes-Barre, Pa., this week listened to a
tape recorded nearly two years ago
that discusses Kocis's death.
Grant Roy, business
partner of gay-porn star Brent Corrigan, testified earlier this
week that he and Corrigan had urged Cuadra and his business
partner, Joseph Kerekes, to travel to San Diego in early 2007.
The goal -- Cuadra wanted to make a movie with
Corrigan.
But according to
reports, Roy was cooperating with police and recorded a
conversation at San Diego's Black Beach with Cuadra
repeatedly referring to Kocis's death. Though Cuadra
doesn't discuss specifics, sources say the tape might be
enough to convict him.
Cuadra is accused of
killing Kocis in a turf war over the right to work with
Corrigan. In December 2008, Kerekes pleaded guilty to
killing Kocis, and he is now serving a life sentence.
The recording is said
to all but convict Cuadra of the crime. The trial is expected
to last at least another week.
