Lisa Choldenko's highly acclaimed lesbian family dramedy, The Kids Are All Right, is off to a spectacular start at the box office. The film, which opened July 9 and stars Annette Bening, Julianne Moore, and Mark Ruffalo, grossed $505,000 on seven screens. The $72,143 per screen average is the second largest for a film playing at seven or more screens and the 27th largest in history. Kids is now in limited release and will expand to more theaters each Friday in July.
