FRC Uses Ignorance as Scare Tactic in DADT

The antigay Family Research Council has begun using HIV scare tactics to coerce soldiers and their families to rally against DADT repeal efforts.

Spearheaded by FRC's Dr. Robert Labutta (U.S. Army, Colonel, Ret.), the effort is called, "Mission Compromised: How the military is being used to advance a radical agenda."

The FRC cites a study in which HIV rates are 50% higher in gay and bisexual men than straight men. The FRC goes on to say "substance abuse, partner violence, depression and childhood sexual abuse" are also part and parcel to being gay.

Karen Ocamb writes on LGBTPOV.com that she is especially worried about such tactics working in the "Age of Anxiety" in which we live.
