Steven Slater, the JetBlue flight attendant who has become a folk hero for walking off the job in the most dramatic way possible, has inspired website The Daily Beast to compile the nine most memorable on-the-job movie meltdowns. The list of clips range from the iconic (Peter Finch's legendary "I'm as mad as hell" rant from 1976's Network) to the brutal (Edward Norton's self-mutilation blackmail ploy in 1999's Fight Club). Gay actor Guillermo Diaz is included for his funny fast-food-service breakdown in 1998's Half Baked.
