Facebook and Twitter are buzzing over plans for a rally late Thursday afternoon in West Hollywood to protest the North Circuit Court's stay of the Proposition 8 ruling from Judge Vaughn Walker.
According to its Facebook page, the "emergency rally" will be held at 6 p.m. at Santa Monica and San Vicente boulevards to recognize the day that many same-sex couples planned to marry, had the ruling not been stayed.
"Although Judge Walker's decision was a victory for Prop 8 opponents, the fight is NOT over. Do not let that victorious feeling make you complacent!" say the event organizers. "Let it be known that we will remain vigilant and active until marriage equality is restored in California!"
